opera
The Magic Flute is a showcase for Mozart’s
genius and overflows with glorious music, comedy and fantasy.
A magic flute and enchanted bells lead characters and audiences
on a journey through realms inhabited by monsters, scheming
servants, and benevolent wise men. Prince Tamino undergoes
challenging trials in order to win his beloved. He is accompanied
on his magical journey by one of opera’s funniest and
most human characters, the bird catcher Papageno.
